The Belen Public Library will be forming an Elementary and a Middle School Battle of the Books team this year! If your child loves to read this may be the perfect opportunity for them to read some great books, make friends, and compete in Los Cruces this spring in the ultimate test of what they’ve read, the Battle of the Books!
You can Click Here to read the Rules for Battle of the Books for more information. You can also look at the Elementary Book List as well as the Middle School Book List. Your student is required to read at least 10 of the books from the list that fits their grade level. We have the books from the list at the Library for you to check out (a couple are backordered but we will get them in).
If this sounds like something your student would be interested in please fill out our registration form. We will have Club Meetings to start practicing questions for the Battle in the spring once we get enough participants.
