The Albuquerque Public Library announces Schooling With Uncle Sam – 75 Years of the Department of Defense Education Activity!

Learn about the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), the worldwide school system for children of U.S. military personnel, through a hands-on exploration of a foot locker exhibit and by listening to firsthand accounts of former DoDEA teachers and students.

Schooling with Uncle Sam is a recently released anthology of nearly 100 stories of the DoDEA, compiled by Dr. Circe Olson Woessner and Dr. Allen Dale Olson, founders of the Museum of the American Military Family & Learning Center. Dr. Allen Olson, Betty Follett, a former DODDS math teacher and librarian, and Erik Woessner, a student of DoD schools in Germany and Puerto Rico, will be presenting.

Books will be available for $15, cash or check. Registration required.
