Summer Heat Bill Fund
Low to Moderate Income (LMI) customers can receive $150 on their electric bill. The custom does NOT need to be past due. The end date of this program is September 30, 2023.
Assistance is available to customers that meet eligibility requirements:
- Your utility account must be in your name.
- You must be a current residential customer.
- Proof of household income* and identification* for all persons living in the home must be provided at the time of application. Customers missing proof of these required documents will be turned away and asked to reapply when they have everything.
- Your monthly household net income at the time of application must be at or below the eligibility level for the number of people in your household.
*Acceptable forms of income: a paystub within the past 30 days, employment letter, 1099, SSI, disability letter, pension statement, court-ordered payments, LIHEAP approval letter for 2022-2023. Exclusions applied for tribal members.
If there is no income, the customer must provide proof with at least one of the following documents: an unemployment letter, SNAP benefits letter, Medicaid approval, a letter from a caseworker/social worker explainingthere’s no income.
*Acceptable forms of identification: ID card issued by federal, state, or local government agencies or entities, provided it contains a photograph or name, Schoool ID card with a photograph, Voter registration card, US military card or draft record, Military dependent’s ID card, US Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document card, Native American tribal document, Driver’s license issued by a Canadian government authority state, passport, Permanent Resident Card or Alien Registration Receipt Card.
