POSTPONED: Grand Opening Celebration of Eagle’s Nest Skatepark

The Grand Opening Celebration of Eagle’s Nest Skatepark has been postponed. Originally scheduled for Saturday, April 27th, construction circumstances have required that date to be pushed out. At this time we don’t have a definitive date but we will keep you updated to let you know as soon as we do.

We’re excited for this exciting opportunity to come to Belen and for our citizens to be able to enjoy Eagle’s Nest Skatepark for years to come.

The festivities will kick off at 2:00 PM with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by city officials, who will share their thoughts on this exciting project. Additionally, professional skaters Cody McEntire and Julia Brueckler will provide insights into the park’s design process!

Following the ceremony, attendees will be treated to exhilarating skate demonstrations by Cody McEntire and Julia Brueckler from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness the impressive skills of these pro skaters firsthand.

At 2:30 PM, a raffle will take place, offering attendees the chance to win skate decks and other exciting prizes. Cody McEntire and Julia Brueckler will personally hand out these prizes to the lucky winners.

From 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, the skate park will be open to all attendees for an open skate session. Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to join in the fun.

At 3:00 PM, an engaging game of S.K.A.T.E. (or similar activity) will take place, providing further entertainment for attendees.

Another raffle will be held at 3:30 PM, offering more opportunities to win skate decks and other prizes. Just like the earlier raffle, Cody McEntire and Julia Brueckler will oversee the distribution of these prizes.
