The Gathering for Peace that was originally scheduled for January 17th, 2022 at 6 pm has been moved to April 4th at 6:00pm. This change is due to COVID. We are also extending the deadline for the Student Art Contest submissions until March 7th.
We will be meeting at the Belen Public Library’s Public Meeting room for the 28th Annual Celebration and Remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will have a candlelight vigil and the K-12 Art and Verbal Arts Contest winners will be announced and prizes awarded.
The event is sponsored by the City of Belen Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Multi-Cultural Commission and the State of new Mexico MLK Jr. Commission.
