City employee, Abel Otero, Parks Supervisor, was honored as the Employee of the 1st Quarter of 2025 by the Belen City Council and City Manager, Roseann Peralta. The letter from Mayor Pro-tem, Tracy Armijo, reads:
Dear Abel,
It is with great pleasure that Mayor, Robert Noblin, City Manager, Roseann Peralta, the City of Belen Governing Body, and I declare you the Employee of the 1st Quarter, 2025 you are being recognized for going above and beyond your normal duties to accomplish something exceptional.
You have consistently demonstrated the ability to bring departments together, fostering a cooperative and team-oriented environment. Your co-workers have voiced their gratitude for all your help and collaboration. Through clear communication, a positive attitude, and a strong sense of purpose, you have helped build stronger relationships and a more unified workplace culture.
In the Parks Department, you have elevated standards of professionalism and encouraged a culture of growth and development. Your commitment to excellence is evident in everything you do, and your influence has played a key role in moving the department forward.
