City Offices and Buildings will be CLOSED Tuesday, October 17th from 9am – 12pm to allow employees to attend the services of our colleague and friend, Shawn Ammons.
Shawn Ammons passed away unexpectedly on October 6th. He was a man who was beloved by all who knew him. His passion and love for the youth of our community was unmatched. He devoted himself to the Belen Parks and Recreation community, providing opportunities for and always working to find a way to have kids participate despite challenges, financial or otherwise.
Shawn was a person who had an expansive and loving heart, truly cared for those around him, and always had a smile for everyone he met. He was a devoted father and husband and, while his loss is felt by our entire community, we express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church Tuesday, October 17th. The Viewing will be at 9am, followed by a Rosary at 10:30am, and the Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
