Belen Varsity Football defeated Deming in Round One of the 5A New Mexico State Playoffs on Friday November 5th 25-21! The Eagles won at home and will now move on to face the Los Lunas Tigers on Saturday November 13th at 2pm. This second Playoff game will be an away game and the Eagles, the number 7 seed, will face the favored number 2 seed. Belen’s record this season is 7-3 and Los Lunas is undefeated at 10-0.
The Eagles need our congratulations and our ongoing support so don’t forget to wear your school colors this week and especially on Saturday, decorate your homes, cars, and businesses, and if you see an Eagle out and about, let them know you are cheering them on!
