The City of Belen is accepting applications for full-time Laborer or Operator in our Community Maintenance Department. The starting annual salary is $32,136 – $36,420 (($15.45 – $17.51 an hour) depending on certifications. A full benefits package including retirement, healthcare, and more is offered to full-time employees.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license
- Commercial driver’s license is preferred
- Heavy equipment operation experience preferred
- Knowledge to include use of common work tools, maintenance, and simple motor equipment
- Knowledge of safety requirements in the use of ladders, work tools, shovels, hoe, weed cutters, pick, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc., street and maintenance equipment
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
