Mayor Cordova graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, in 2006.

While in college, Mayor Cordova worked with former Congresswoman Heather Wilson — who is now Secretary of the Air Force, — gave history tours of the Capitol Building, and spent one semester digging around the United States National Archives for documents about World War II atomic bomb research in New Mexico.
