You can make your utility payments and meet with Staff in person, Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. For the safety of our staff and yourself, please remember to always wear a mask while at any City facility.
From Albuquerque, head south on I-25 and exit 195. Turn left into Belen. Follow Main St south to Becker Ave. Turn left on Becker and drive east to the end. Turn left on First St. and the museum is on the right.
Many of our guests visit Belen via the Railrunner. Check their schedule at nmrailrunner.com. The walk from the Railrunnner is roughly six blocks and requires crossing a pedestrian bridge with a steep slope. For those who need assistance, there is limited bus service available when scheduled in advance. See http://riometro.org/rio-metro-schedules/bus-schedule/bus-valencia-county for more details.
From the Railrunner station, walk south to the stairs leading over the pedestrian bridge. Cross the bridge over the railroad tracks and then again cross the bridge over Reinken Ave. Come down the stairs and the museum is one block south on the left.
Yes, we accept donations of railroad, Belen, and Harvey house items. Please ask for a receipt when donating items. While we are unable to display every item in our collection, many displays are rotated throughout the year. If you are unsure whether we can use an item you wish to donate, please call or bring it by the museum.
We do! Our gift shop is stocked with plenty of railroad souvenirs, t-shirts, caps, and other items. We also have a bookstore with many books from local and national authors. We are proud to be one of the biggest book retailers in Valencia County.
