Small Town
Miracle on Main Street
This Christmas the 21st Annual Christmas Light Parade and Festival was moved to the Heart of Belen. Hundreds of Belen residents braved the cold to watch the Christmas Light Parade, fireworks, and food along Becker Ave. on the weekend after Thanksgiving. These were some of the images from the Miracle on Main Street.
National Night Out
National Night Out was held in the Heart of Belen on August 5th. Hundreds of residents turned out to enjoy an evening of food, music, games and door prizes as their favorite police officer or fire fighter served up dinner.
Memorial Day
Memorial Day in the Heart of Belen, May 26, 2008. It was a day of observance for those who gave their lives in the service of our country. A plaque commemorating the five branches of our military service was unveiled along with comments from the Mayor and special recognition to the various VFW Posts around the county and surviving members of the Bataan March. Music was provided by the Rio Grande Valley Community Band. Anyone interested in the complete version of this video, contact City Hall.
