Human Resources Manager

Minimal Pay: Exempt-$41,600 per year

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Performs administrative, technical and professional work in the Human Resources Dept.  Includes enforcement of city personnel policies and procedures, employee relations, classification, compensation, recruitment, labor relations, training and risk management duties. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in human resources, public or personnel administration, business management or a closely related field
Five (5) years experience in a human resources capacity or equivalent of experience and training that meets the knowledge, skills and abilities of the position
Good oral and written communication skills
Supervisory skills, payroll, Risk Management, benefits, legal processes skills a must
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, other City personnel and the public
Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities with minimal supervision.
Must be computer literate with various software (i.e. Caselle, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, internet, E-mail, etc.)
Able to train and/or coordinate in all aspects of Human Resources Management
Possess a valid New Mexico driver’s license
Ability to pass drug testing
